Pittsburgh's Finest Selection of Imported, Craft, Microbrewed & Specialty Beers

Living with Celiacs?
Don't Let Your Gluten-Free Diet Deprive You of Beer

Great Beer is no longer off-limits to anyone with celiac disease. Although almost all beers are made with malted barley and other gluten-containing ingredients, such as wheat, barley, rye and/or oats, gluten-free beers are brewed using sorghum, hops, water, rice and gluten-free yeast grown on molasses. Wexford Beer is proud to offer the following beers to Celiacs in Pittsburgh who need to follow a wheat-free or gluten-free diet:

Bard's Tale Beer

Bards Tale

Bards Tale beers are the world's first craft-brewed beers to be formulated using malted sorghum instead of malted barley as a base ingredient. The beers do not contain any barley, wheat, rye, spelt, oats, kamut, or triticale. In the place of malted barley and depending on the style, a combination of pure malted sorghum, deeply roasted buckwheat, and fresh honey are used. Bard's Tale Dragon’s Gold is 100% malted sorghum.

Redbridge beer

Redbridge

Redbridge is brewed by Anheuser-Busch and is made without wheat or barley, so the approximately 3.2 million consumers who are unable to drink beer made with barley due to celiac disease or because they follow a wheat-free or gluten-free diet can once again enjoy a great-tasting beer. Redbridge is a rich, full-bodied lager brewed from sorghum for a well-balanced, moderately hopped taste.

Ramapo Beer

Ramapo

The Ramapo Passover Honey Lager is unique - its main fermentable is amber honey. Molasses is used for flavor, nutrients and color. Bright golden in color, the taste naturally has notes of honey and hop. Noble hops add a touch of bitterness to balance the honey sweetness. Kosher for Passover.
